Pilot for American Airlines since 1979
At 6 Am on September 11, 2001 John Ogonowski left his family home in Dracut,
Massachusetts for Boston Logan Airport where he was to pilot American Airlines flight 11
to Los Angeles. The plane left Boston Logan Airport at 7:59 a.m. and was hijacked by
terrorists armed with knives. At 8:45 a.m. flight 11 became the first of 2 planes to
crash into the World Trade Center in an act of terrorism.

Air Force Pilot, Vietnam War Veteran
Husband, Father, Brother, Son, and Friend

Our prayers go out to his family especially his wife Margaret, daughters Laura 16,
Caroline 14, and Mary Catherine 11, and brother Jim.

As my soul takes flight to paradise
upon a snow-white dove...
I'm free to roam in my heavenly home,
safe on the wings of love.
As I leave this world and fly away,
To a place where dreams come true
My soul has found its paradise,
But my love lives on in you.
